BJP Leaders Reiterate Commitment to Yamuna Cleanup
Rekha Gupta, along with her ministerial colleagues and BJP leaders, attended the Aarti evening on the banks of the Yamuna River last week. Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva also attended the religious event of Vasudev Ghat.
“During the AARTI in Maa Yamuna, we reaffirmed our commitment to cleaning the rivers. We will allocate the necessary resources, which remains our top priority,” Gupta said.
Sachdeva also emphasized the party’s promise, saying: “Maa Yamuna bless us. The Delhi government led by the BJP will ensure the clearance of the river.”
Pollution in Yamuna is a major issue during the Delhi parliamentary elections, and the parties blame pollution control, encroachment and flood management. The BJP is now facing the task of turning its commitments into concrete actions.
