On Wednesday there are saffron, bright tones of white and pink, spread with flowers and fruit suppliers, as well as temples rich in saffron, white and pink.
Palash, Marigold, Jasmine and Roses hang in neat bunches ready to decorate temples and houses, while fruit sellers weigh watermelons for stable fasting devotees , apples and guava.
By 6 a.m., the most respected Shiva temples around the city, including Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple in Keesaragutta and Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy Temple in Vemulawada, have begun to attract a large crowd. Even in the local temples in each community, the long line of devotees reached out to a large number of big gifts and kept the security forces maintained, thus ensuring the day’s death without obstacles.
For many, the festival is not only related to visits to temples, but is a deep rooted tradition that is carried out at home.
Sharing her family’s daily work, M. Manjula, an Alwal resident in Secunderabad, said: “Attend Rudra Abhishekham In our local temples, we continued to pray at home until the next morning. “She smiled and said, “Sleep gets better sometimes, so I started preparing food in the afternoon. We spent the whole night chatting in a family – which made fasting easier. ”
In the evening, houses and communities prepare for the vigil all night. Some apartment buildings and gated communities are filled with cultural programs where children dress up as Shiva and Parvati, re-engineering the sacred story. Others chose quieter celebrations, setting up spaces for chanting and meditation.
In Gokhale Nagar in Ramanthapur, K. SatishKumar made the final preparations for the night. “We are holding Jagrran At home tonight. “He said. “Family and neighbors will gather to the ode and meditate until dawn. ”
For some, festivals are a way to cherish bonds and start new deals. M. Harshavardhan, a resident of Secunderabad, has begun fasting in recent years – not for religious obligations, but for his mother. “I used to see her alone,” he shared. “So I joined her. Now, it’s a tradition – we’re watching movies together at home and I’m actually looking forward to it.”
For others, the festival has a more culinary appeal.
Neredmet’s T. Sandeep couldn’t hide his excitement when talking about food. “I’m waiting for this festival just for the food of upvaas – Sabudana Khichdi All the other delicious snacks my mother prepared. ”
However, the busiest hands of the day belong to fruit suppliers, whose goods are lighter and have a fuller pocket. Their empty car proves a festival full of celebration.
In all these aspects, the usual chaotic traffic breathed. Most people were indoors, whether in temples or attending family rituals, and the otherwise crowded roads were relieved and enjoyed the extraordinary peace.
However, the city’s police force did not have time to rest. While the devotees sing hymns and pray in a low voice, the officers remain on duty to ensure that the night unfolds peacefully.
