The proposal made by Vizianagaram MP Kalisetty Appalanaidu for women with a third child has attracted attention throughout the state, and many praised the decision.
The news was made in a statement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to encourage population growth. Naidu announced in a plan in Markapur, Prakasam district that it will be granted to all women’s employees regardless of the number of children.
“All women should have as many children as possible,” the chief minister said. Police officers asked Friday if the interior minister applies to all women’s employees. The chief minister clarified on Saturday that all births will receive maternity leave, not just the first two.
So far, women employees have received six months of maternity leave, paying for two delivery in full. The Chief Minister announced that the benefit now applies to all births.
Since then, Vizianagaram MP Kalisetty Appalanaidu has announced an incentive for those with a third child. He said at a party held at the Rajiv Sports Compound on International Women’s Day, he said: “If a woman gives birth to the third child of the next girl, that is a girl, she will be paid Rs 50,000 from my salary. If the child is a boy, a cow will be handed over to her.”
The announcement has attracted attention on social media, especially on WhatsApp, and partisan activists and their supporters at Ranasthalam Mandal have shared the news widely.
