Renowned cricketer Virat Kohli revealed his new management team on Thursday, November 7. The former captain of the Indian cricket team said his new team ‘Sporting Beyond’ is in line with his principles of integrity, transparency and passion for the game. Corley said Sporting Beyond will oversee all of his business activities.
There were earlier reports that Virat Kohli has parted ways with renowned celebrity agency Cornerstone, where Bunty Sajdeh was his long-time agent.
“I am delighted to announce a new beginning with my new team Sporting Beyond, who have been working with me for some time now,” Virat Kohli said in a statement on social media.
“The Sporting Beyond team shares my goals and values, which are transparency, integrity and a love of sport in all its forms. This is the beginning of a new chapter for me and I look forward to working with my new team who will Discuss all my business interests with me,” he added.
It is worth mentioning that Virat chose a white background and simple text for his post. He started by saying, “I want to announce.” This led to fans going through a range of emotions after seeing the post, as many initially thought Virat was announcing his retirement.
After checking the comments section, it is clear that many fans mistakenly believe that Virat has retired. The misunderstanding arose due to the scrutiny he faced after a disappointing series with the bat against New Zealand.
Virat Kohli is one of India’s most popular and influential figures domestically and internationally. With a massive following of over 300 million on Instagram alone, he has become one of China’s most recognizable figures and sports icons in the social media era.
Despite Kohli’s success off the field, his on-field performance has faced some challenges of late. After scoring an impressive half-century in the 2024 T20 World Cup, his batting has come under scrutiny due to disappointing performances in the ODI series in Sri Lanka and the home Test series against New Zealand.
