A video of a woman seen sneaking homemade popcorn into a movie theater has surfaced on social media. The video went viral with over 23 million views and even prompted a reaction from actor Nargis Fakhri. The woman in the film, Payal Nagar, from Pondicherry, came up with an idea to avoid buying expensive theater popcorn.
She prepared popcorn at home, put it in a shoebox with a can of soft drink, and hid it in a shopping bag when she entered a PVR theater with friends. The theater staff had no idea what was in the box, so they didn’t stop her. In the video, Payal and her friends can be seen enjoying popcorn in a theater. “PVR may block me after this, but YOLO,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
Her post caught the attention of actor Nargis Fakhri, who commented on the video she “liked” and said: “The ghetto is hell. But I love it! Everyone hides food and Bring. People will even bring KFC or Chinese food back to New York. The video also prompted many netizens to share their thoughts and opinions in the comment section, some of which were quite interesting.
