Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Thursday, accompanied by his colleagues in the Cabinet, thanking officials, health workers, crew, drivers, health workers and police for their work during the 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela and for the work ended on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister announced a bonus of Rs 10,000 for health workers, health workers, police personnel and drivers deployed in Maha Kumbh and ships and insurance provided to crew members.
In addition, 75,000 police officers, together with the Maha Kumbh Sewa medal, ensured a week-long break.

During a special event by Ganga Mandapam, he received more than three record certificates on behalf of the UP government in Maha Kumbh 2025 Guinness World Record Certificate, and the 45-day religious event describes “the largest and historic gathering in the world” as a 45-day religious event. Adityanath attributes its success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “visionary leadership” and the collective efforts of the people.
After arriving at Prayagraj, CM and his cabinet colleagues first prayed at Sangam and then participated in the cleaning driving with Sanitation workers.
CM and his ministers also offer meals, first with sanitation workers and later police officers.
During his interactions with health and health workers, he presented them with gifts and a health insurance certificate of Rs 5 lakh. The chief minister said that from April, the state government will set up a dedicated company to ensure fair wages. “Through this initiative, each health and health worker will receive a monthly salary of Rs 16,000 per month, directly to their bank account,” the CM added.

Later in the day, the CM conquered the boatman and announced financial assistance to the crew and provided insurance for their vessels up to Rs 5 lakh. He also assured that the state government would provide special facilities for crew members and thanked them for promoting 660 million people to hang out in Sangam.
Likewise, he also interacted with the driver of the National Road, UPSRTC, and announced an additional bonus of Rs 10,000 for the driver. CM said that 3.75 billion passengers were leading to the destination through the Uttar Pradesh Transport Ministry.
After he interacted with the police, he praised their “patience and discipline” to achieve “challenging crowd management”, and he ended the visit.
“Our people are sometimes pushed by people, but they show extraordinary resilience and patience,” he said.

He highlighted how the event seamlessly blended faith and economy, attracted 6.63 billion devotees and made a significant contribution to the state’s economy. “It is not just an event of faith; it is an economic phenomenon. The Chief Minister said: “The state government invested Rs 75 crore in Prayagraj’s infrastructure, and in return, the economic promotion has been unprecedented Rs 35 crore. ”
Adityanath also responded to critics: “Only those who participate in Maha Kumbh can understand its scale and complexity. It is easy to sit far away and make negative comments.” The Chief Minister praised the UP police’s transformation, noting that despite their earlier battles with the riots and the dominance of the mafia, they have now established themselves as “Mitra Police” (friendly police force) and recognized for their global behavior.
Adityanath acknowledges the contribution of all security forces, including the State Police, Paramilitary Force, Family Guard, Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD), Water Police, Traffic Police, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Provincial Armed Police Officers (PAC), saying their professional qualities are held accountable throughout the country and across the masses.
The Chief Minister noted that while Prayagraj’s permanent population is about 250,000, Maha Kumbh hosts half and half to twenty million devotees every day, with only 150 million pilgrims visiting Rs 100 crore in three days between January 28 and 30, saying that among the 100 countries, there are 12 countries, including 12 supervisors of the incident.
