Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Tourism Suresh Gopi inaugurated the ‘Confluence-2024’ industry-academia conference at Rajgiri Institute of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday.
The day-long conclave, with the focus on ‘Future of Talent’, was organized by the Group of Institutions and Technology Companies (GTECH), an industry body representing over 250 IT companies in Kerala.
A newsletter quoted Mr. Gopi as saying that such incidents highlight the need to build a strong educational foundation to empower new global industries in areas such as artificial intelligence, automation and quantum computing.
S. Somnath, Chairman, Indian Research Organization; VK Mathews, Executive Chairman, IBS Software; Loknath Behera, Managing Director, Kochi Metro Rail Limited, among others, were reportedly present at the plenary session held at the event.
