Two people were rescued after Ludhiana factory collapsed; CM Mann immediately ordered evaluation | Indian news

Officials said two bodies were rescued after part of a factory building in the Ludhiana Focus Phase 8 on Sunday, and four workers collapsed on Sunday.

They added that the search for a worker continued.

The rescued workers were hospitalized while the NDRF team and administrators were on site to assist. Police have filed cases against factory operators to resolve the collapse.

Deputy Commissioner Jatinder Jorwal said the building collapsed during factory repairs. According to the factory manager, 29 people attended the factory at the time of the accident.

After the accident, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared an article on X and directed the government to immediately assess the situation.

He said on X: “There are reports that a factory building in Ludhiana collapsed. I have sent instructions to the government to assess the situation immediately. The rescue team has arrived and started work. I hope the rapid recovery and safety of the workers buried under the debris.”

The Ludhiana regional government ordered a ruling on the accident.
