Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said on Thursday (27 February 2025) that even parties that have been opposing DMK on the political stage oppose Hindi imposition.
Mr Stalin pointed out that the argument against supporters of the BJP and its supporters that the trilingual policy does not authorize Hindi or Sanskrit and that any regional language from India can be learned as a third language, he noted that the above formulas in most states indicate that Hindi or Sanskrit indicates that Hindi or Sanskrit is preferred.
In his third letter to DMK cadres on the issue of expropriation of Hindi, he said that unless the Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, there is Tamil there, and Tamil is not anywhere.
“We can’t say how long it will last. In the BJP-ruled Rajasthan, according to the replacement of Mr. Brahma by the Sanskrit teacher, this reflects linguistic fascism. If Tamil Nadu accepts the three-language formula (such as the northern states), the native language will be boycotted in the future and the “Sanskritization” plan will be implemented in the future,” said Mr. Stalin.

Mr Stalin pointed out that Tamil is a classical ancient language that quotes the discoveries of Kiradi and other excavations, and that Tamil cannot destroy Tamil by Hindi or indirectly imposed Sanskrit.
“Then why do we object to it? Peryal said that through Hindi, Tamil will not be destroyed, but Tamil culture will be destroyed. Recently, Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar said that the best way to conquer territory is to go beyond its culture and destroy its language. That is the policy of the BJP government at the center,” Mr Stalin claimed.
He said the movement of the Dravid movement acted as a shield protection for the Tamils by thwarting the invasion attempts of ruling language.
