The next James Bond should be British, said Pierce Brosnan, former 007. James Bond

Pierce Brosnan said the next James Bond should be British, as the reportedly leaked memo confirmed that the character will remain one person.

The Irish actor played Bond from 1995 to 2002, saying that after the rumors, it was a “giving” and it was an American role.

Brosnan, 71, also said it was “the right decision” to hand over creative control of the franchise to Amazon MGM.

“It takes courage to let them go,” he told the Sunday Telegraph. “I hope that [Amazon] Handle work and character with dignity, imagination and respect. ”

The film series sold to the streaming giant for £770 million, with Bond custodians Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson struck a deal in February after reportedly following the future tensions in Spy Saga.

For decades, the couple has kept their original producer Albert “Cubby” Broccoli’s children as co-owners, but will not have creative control after the future of 007.

According to the Wall Street Journal, it included the Amazon executive of the Barbara Broccoli brand “fuck idiots” instead of the idea of expanding the franchise through spin-offs and TV series.

After the deal, Wilson said he and Broccoli were “very reluctant to delegate” intellectual property to the TV series, and Broccoli added: “It’s not something we’ve ever thought about.”

This could be a new Bond movie, four years after Daniel Craig’s last appearance.

Although there is no script, director or lead actor, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Theo James and James Norton are all favorites of the character.

Online Mail Online reported that an Amazon source said the actor “must be British or Commonwealth, he must be male”.

News of the acquisition received mixed reactions from online fans, some of whom feared that the American brand would choose a non-white actor to play the secret agent or treat him as a gay person in a future movie.

While Bond is arguably the wildest spy franchise – Austin Powers Movie’s win rate is a win, Brosnan has previously said that despite his welcome to the idea, Broccoli would not allow gay 007 in the franchise throughout his life.

Meanwhile, others are optimistic about the potential for progress, hoping that Amazon will sterilize famous misogynistic characters once called by Esquire Magazine “a boring, tasteless rapist” to attract younger audiences who are more likely to tag “pain” than “cool” than “cool”.

There have been only five Bond movies over the past 23 years, and the series faces competition from more modern, fast-paced action characters such as John Wick and Jason Bourne.

Brosnan said: “History has been passed on and I am very proud of being Bond’s history and legacy and the films I made with Barbara and Michael.

“We restored the needle to life. It’s dormant. [for] Six years, Goldeneye’s success is so much that it continues to be more and more power…you know, everything is changing, everything is falling apart, I wish them all the best. ”
