The Kolkata couple won’t send their kids to school, why – Watch the Viral Video

A surprising case was when a couple decided to follow an unconventional educational approach by interpreting their children, which had surfaced from Kolkata, West Bengal. The concept of not attending school is very different from the concept of home learning that structured classes at home follow.

Out of school is a child-led learning method with no formal curriculum in interests. In a conversation with actor attacker Shenaz TeareSurywala, the father explained the reason for the decision, saying: “School is a waste of time. We believe in learning through practical knowledge and travel. We completely believe in learning through travel. So, we travel a lot.”

TeareSurywala shared videos of the conversation on her Instagram account. The video has been a hit on social media after being shared by the actors. The interactive video begins with the Treasury, introducing the family: “The couple decided not to send their children to school.”

The couple elaborated further on not attending school, describing it as an experience-based approach where children learn through daily life, workshops, bird walks, art, literature and history while traveling. His son is a cricket enthusiast and even learns math through cricket.

“Not going to school means there is no model. There is no course. You just let life teach you,” said the father. He further noted that their kids have several classes throughout the day and that it is “constantly determined by something or someone else.”

During the interaction, he also spoke about concerns related to career prospects. “We are shaping them into entrepreneurs, so I don’t have to worry,” the father said. The couple also said that while traditional education would lose students, their children love to learn.

Several users on social media expressed their thoughts on the concept of “out of school” in the comment section of the video.

“By the way, I’m doing the same thing!!” said the user. Another user praised the parents’ decision and said, “I like the courage of my parents.” “If you have money, that’s not a problem,” a third user wrote. Meanwhile, during a conversation with the couple, the little boy told TeareSurywala that he would recommend unschooling to other children: “Because I know they don’t like going to school.”
