The Maritime and Coast Guard said the British Coast Guard was responding to reports of collisions between tankers and cargo ships on the northeast coast of England.
“The Coast Guard rescue helicopter from Humberside is known as lifeboats from Skegness, Bridlington, Maplethorpe and Cleethorpes, HM Coastguard fixed wing aircraft, and nearby fire-fighting vessels, the agency said in a statement.

An oil tanker and a cargo ship collided in the North Sea, and the British Coast Guard provided an emergency response.
A spokesman for the HM Coast Guard said: “The HM Coast Guard is currently coordinating the emergency to respond to reports of a collision between an oil tanker and a cargo ship off the East Yorkshire coast.
“The alarm was raised at 9.48 am.
“The Coast Guard rescue helicopters from Humberside are known as lifeboats from Skegness, Bridlington, Maplethorpe and Cleethorpes, HM Coastguard fixed wing aircraft, and nearby fire-fighting vessels.
“The incident continues.”
