Valluru Bharga, head of Andhra Pradesh Congress professionals, said on Sunday (9 March 2025) that it is important that the centre clearly explains the benefits of its proposed demarcation practice and trilingual policy to people in different regions.
“He said in a statement that these regions have made significant contributions to the country’s progress and cannot lose their importance,” he said.
Mr Balgarf said the economic strength of the southern states was declining and the state was forced to rely on the center to allocate development funds.
He said the BJP has a great grasp of Andhra Pradesh state, and he said the ruling party of the centre is trying to “scatter” the entire country by implementing unilateral decisions.
He said people in the state were frustrated by rejecting special categories of conditions or financial help, which the state was promised when it was split.
Congress leaders said that unfortunately Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was trapped in partisan politics rather than focusing on ensuring that the country is best suited. He said Mr. Naidu should set his priorities before people lose confidence in him, just as they did in the previous YSR Congress government.
