Thana residents allegedly bit off part of his friend’s ear and even swallowed after the two quarreled at a party, an official said Thursday.
Officials from the Casavadawali Police Department said the incident occurred in a luxury housing association in the Palipda area.
Shravan Leekha (37) said in his complaint that when the two had an argument, he and accused Vikas Menon (32) were gathering with friends. Menon suddenly became violent, biting a part of his ear and swallowing leekha.
Leekha said he was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
The official added that police had booked Menon to voluntarily cause serious injury under Section 117(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
