- A total of 1,911 Suzuki Fronx vehicles have been recalled in Japan.
Suzuki Fronx recalled in Japan due to brake issues. The manufacturer has submitted a recall application to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, saying the recall was caused by improper tightening of mounting bolts on the vehicle’s rear brake caliper.
A total of 1,911 vehicles produced between September 13 and November 8, 2024 will be recalled. In the rear brake caliper, insufficient tightening torque may occur due to improper installation of the caliper mounting bolts. If the bolt remains in its current condition, it may loosen over time, which may cause unusual noises when braking or crossing uneven surfaces. In severe cases, the bolts may fall off, resulting in reduced braking effectiveness.
In order to resolve this issue, the bolts on all vehicles must be inspected. If any bolt is found to have insufficient tightening torque, it should be replaced with a new bolt and tightened to the manufacturer’s specified torque value.
