Earlier in the day, Rajasthan Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot held a protest outside the Rajasthan legislative session together with other MPs.
Gehlot criticized the ruling party for ignoring the protests and said: “The ruling party does not care about our protests…we have received no communication from the end… They specifically targeted Govind Singh Dotasra and tried to slander Congress. For the past three days, I have been discussing with the Chief Minister and the General Assembly spokesperson to address this issue.
During the protest, opposition leader (LOP) Tika Ram Jully added: “They blocked us from entering Parliament because they were worried we would make our point… The ruling party is acting in a dictatorial manner… I have spoken with the parliamentary minister and the chief minister, but the ruling party does not want the deadlock to be discussed with the budget or the budget.”
Rajasthan Parliament Director Govind Singh Dotasra demanded objectionable comments to the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and called on the minister to apologize. He further stated: “Due to the government’s authoritarian attitude, we cannot enter the General Assembly and raise issues that affect the public.”
The protests stem from controversial remarks by the Congress minister on Indira Gandhi, whom Congress MLAS condemned Indira Gandhi. While the BJP leaders supported the minister and denied any derogatory intentions, Congress insisted that the remarks were removed from the General Assembly process.(with agent input)
