Shillong Teer is a lottery game where tickets can be purchased for Rs 1 to Rs 100. Sales start at 10am Monday to Sunday. Players have to guess the number of arrows shot by 50 archers in the first and second rounds at Shillong Polo Grounds within two minutes, with a maximum of 30 and 20 arrows respectively. There are approximately 5,000 ticket counters in Meghalaya spread across 11 districts.
In one day, players must guess the last two digits of the total number of arrows that were shot and hit the target. The winner of the lottery is the person who correctly predicted the number. Each day, 50 archers shoot 30 arrows in the first round and only 20 arrows in the second round.
