Police said seven people were killed and another 14 injured in a collision between a truck and a running vehicle (SUV) in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday (March 10, 2025).
The incident occurred around 2.30am, near the Upni Petrol Pump on Sidhi-Bahri Road.
She said that when the SUV (taxi service) took family members to Maihar, the vehicle collided head-on and the truck was heading from Sidhi to Bahri.
Seven people traveling in the SUV were killed and 14 other occupants were injured in the accident, the official said.
She said nine injured people were referred to neighboring REWA for further treatment, and others were being treated at Sidhi regional hospitals.
The official said the truck driver was detained and further investigations were conducted.
