A security officer who works in Neelangarai, Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader Seeman, allegedly stopped police officers, who refused police officers, who went there to investigate a summons incident that directed Mr Seeman to appear in the face of a complaint related to a female actor by Valasaravakkam police.

FIR was initially registered on a 2011 complaint filed by a Bengaluru actor and the court directed the police to complete the investigation within 12 weeks. The magistrate has recorded the complainant’s statement under Article 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
According to the order of the High Court, the Valasara Wakam police resumed the investigation and issued a subpoena seeking Mr Seeman to appear for investigation. Police sources said that when he failed to appear on Thursday (27 February 2025), Valasaravakkam personnel would call to paste on the house wall and directed him to appear in accordance with the rules of Bharatiya Nagarik Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to inquire about inquiries.
A few minutes later, the document was allegedly torn by one of his assistants at Mr Seeman’s home. Upon receiving information about the incident, Neelangarai inspector Praveen Rajesh and Plaplothes staff arrived at the House to challenge the aides.
However, the security guard, identified as Amal Raj, refused their entry. Police officers overwhelmed him. When they tried to detain him, he refused to enter the police jeep and was forcibly pushed into the vehicle before being taken to the Neelangarai Police Station. He grabbed a pistol from him.
He complained about his injuries and was later taken to a government hospital.

Meanwhile, Mr Seeman said that he would not appear before the Valsaravakkam police officers in connection with the rape.
He asked why he showed up and said, “Tomorrow, I’ll be having a party consultation in the Dhamma Curry. The subpoena is at Valsala Wakam Police Station. I won’t go. They can do their best,” he said.
He further said: “DMK hid behind the women (complaints). They were unable to cope with me, the election was approaching. Strangely, the complainant who did not surface during his tenure in Jayalalithaa or Edappadi Palaniswami has now surfaced.”
