In this encounter, Farooq Nali, a top commander of the Islamic Jihad, was also killed.

Security forces have achieved great success in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces neutralized five terrorists in a joint operation in Kulgam. The encounter took place in Kadar village of Kulgam. This is the first time since 2016 that so many terrorists have been killed in a single encounter.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, all these terrorists have links with Hizbul Mujahideen. In this encounter, Farooq Nali, a top commander of the Islamic Jihad, was also killed. Farooq Ahmed Bhat alias Farooq Nally is an A-category terrorist who has been involved in terror activities in the valley for the past nine years.

Farooq Nali is known as an IED expert in terrorist circles and is trying to reorganize the Hizbul Mujahideen. Nali’s death proves that the Islamic jihadists can no longer raise their heads in the valley. But the most special aspect of this encounter was the timing of the operation – five terrorists were killed in just seven hours.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police received information from sources about the hideout of terrorists and as soon as the information was received, the police, National Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force started surrounding the area.

The presence of five terrorists in one location, including a senior commander, showed that this Hezbollah group was planning something major, but the terrorists were buried in their graves before they could do anything.
