Samsung said on Wednesday (February 26, 2025) that it will launch three new Galaxy A-series smartphones in India next week. “The Galaxy A is Samsung’s most successful smartphone series in India, and Samsung sells millions of dollars in devices each year,” the South Korean company said.

Samsung said the new Galaxy A-series smartphones will replace the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 smartphones launched last year. The third phone is expected to be the new Galaxy A26.

“The Galaxy A-series smartphones may have new designs, enhanced durability and advanced security to ensure a seamless and secure user experience,” the company said.

If these will be new devices that surpass the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, then their names should be “Galaxy A36” and “Galaxy A56”.

Both the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A55 feature an Exynos processor. However, this year’s “Galaxy A36” and “Galaxy A55” will likely ship with Snapdragon processors and may be in the mid-budget.

Both the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 have a 6.6-inch super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 Nits. Their successors may use the same display.

Samsung uses a 50 MP main lens, a 12 MP super sensor and a 5 MP macro camera for the Galaxy A55 5G. It has a 32 MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy A35 5G comes with a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP super lens and a 5 MP macro. It comes with a 13 MP front lens.

The Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 phones may also use similar cameras set up this year.

Both phones start with a 5,000 mAh battery in 2024, and the new models are expected to have the same battery power.

Samsung also announced that it will soon launch new Galaxy M16 5G and M06 5G in India.
