South Korean giant Samsung has laid out an ambitious artificial intelligence (AI) roadmap for its Galaxy devices, focusing on personalization and security. In a recent statement, Kim Dae-hyun, director of the Global Artificial Intelligence Center at Samsung Research Institute, emphasized that the company is committed to providing user-centric artificial intelligence services through Galaxy AI, a suite of advanced features for Galaxy devices.
An important part of Samsung’s AI strategy centers on personalized AI, which will tailor functionality to each user’s unique needs. By using knowledge graph technology, Samsung aims to develop AI experiences that adapt to individual behaviors and preferences. This technology, combined with Samsung’s generative artificial intelligence, is expected to bring customized experiences to users, such as fitness tracking for health enthusiasts and navigation assistance for frequent travelers.
The tech company is also using a hybrid AI model that combines on-device and cloud-based processing. This approach aims to provide a balance between performance and privacy, as certain functions will be processed in the cloud for increased speed, while functions involving sensitive data will remain only on the device. This hybrid model has been partially implemented in Galaxy AI and is designed to provide seamless, low-latency functionality without compromising the security of user data.
The article states that security remains Samsung’s top priority in artificial intelligence development. The company’s proprietary security system, Knox Matrix, currently protects Samsung smartphones and smart TVs, but Samsung plans to extend this protection to other connected home appliances. This expansion will create a more secure ecosystem and enhance the privacy of users across Samsung’s product range.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has reappeared on Geekbench, giving new insight into the potential power of Samsung’s upcoming flagship model. Powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, recent benchmark results show a significant improvement in performance over previous tests, suggesting that Samsung’s next generation of smartphones may bring considerable upgrades.
