A retired sports trainer has been detained by police as part of a continuing investigation, allegedly he allegedly threatened to disseminate the nude image of a minor girl who refused to join the trainer at the newly opened sports academy in Kozhikode, Kerala.
The defendant Tomy Cheriyan was earlier related to the incident by Thiruvambady police based on the complaints from the girl’s parents.
He was accused of frequent threats to underage girls, according to police sources. Her mother also filed a complaint about threatening calls against the lecturer.
Police sources said he was suspected of approaching the girl, claiming he had obtained her naked photos. They said he threatened to distribute photos when the girl allegedly refused to join his sports academy for training.
