The entertainment portal reported that the director’s purpose was to start filming the “Police Thriller” in June. Yash Raj Films is actively engaged in pre-production, refining scripts and performing appearance testing. Auditions are underway to bring new talents, with the focus on casting powerful villains. The production team also completed the key shooting locations, which will be filmed in Mumbai and Delhi. Other locations in northern India will be confirmed in the next few weeks.
In 2024, Rani Mukerji announced the film, expressing excitement about the project. She said: “When we were planning to make Mardaani 3, we hoped we could find a script that would attract a higher experience watching the Mardaani movies. I was very excited about what was on hand and I just hope that the audience would feel the same after watching Mardaani 3 in the theater!”
Rani added: “Mardaani is a very favourite franchise and we have a certain responsibility to express people’s expectations. We will do our best to achieve this. Mardaani 3 is dark, deadly and cruel. So I’m interested in finding out how people react to our movies. I want them to shower with the same love they have been giving.”
