Rahul Gandhi is an unguided missile, Sonia Gandhi urges him to coach: Himanta Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday compared Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to an “unguided missile” and urged former AICC chief Sonia Gandhi to train him.

Sarma, who is also the BJP’s co-incharge for the Jharkhand elections, expressed concerns over the security of tribals in the state, claiming they faced a more serious threat than those in Manipur.

“I urge Sonia Gandhi to train Rahul Gandhi as uncontrolled missiles become unguided,” Sarma said, accusing him of trying to divide tribals, Dalits and OBCs.

Talking to reporters, he claimed that while the tribal population is increasing in Manipur, it is decreasing in Jharkhand due to rampant infiltration.

“The condition of the tribals in Jharkhand is worse than that in Manipur… Rahul Gandhi has never visited areas like Bognadi and Gapatan that have been hit by infiltration attacks,” he said.

“No one takes Rahul Gandhi seriously… Our electoral agenda focuses on the JMM-led alliance’s exploitation of ‘Mati, Beti, Roti’ in Jharkhand,” Sarma added.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that the BJP refers to tribals as ‘Vanvasis’, Sarma clarified, “We consider tribals as adivasis. BJP leaders always use the word adivasis respectfully. “

In an interview with X, he said Rahul Gandhi came to Jharkhand but did not mention the infiltrators. “Rahul Gandhi is anti-tribal and anti-OBC. His Union government of India has not fulfilled its promises to OBC,” he posted on X.

The Jharkhand assembly elections are scheduled to be held from November 13 to 20, with counting of votes on November 23.
