Russian President Vladimir Putin said at his year-end press conference that he would ask Syria’s deposed President Bashar al-Assad about the situation of American journalist Austin Tice, who has been missing in Syria for more than 12 years. Assad has been in Russia since he was ousted from power by Syrian rebels. Putin was also asked about the war in Ukraine and President-elect Trump. NBC News’ Kyle Simmons reports.
