A small plane crashed Sunday afternoon in a parking lot near Lancaster Airport in Mannheim, Pennsylvania.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that single-engine aircraft are affluent in beech, an incident that occurred around Lancaster County.
Mannheim Town Fire Chief Scott Little said in a press conference that five people on the plane survived the crash near Lancaster, Pennsylvania and were taken to a local hospital. He has no details about the pilot and passenger condition.
Little said no one was injured on the ground and that the plane crashed shortly after taking off and did not hit any buildings. The plane damaged at least twelve cars in the parking lot in Brothers’ Retirement Community.
Video shared on social media showed the wreckage rising from the wreckage and several parked cars swallowed up flames at the crash site about 75 miles west of Philadelphia.
The FAA said it would conduct an investigation.
Route 501 is closed in the area. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said state police are assisting local first responders.

Sunday’s crash came after a series of recent aviation crashes, which attracted public attention. In late January, an American Airlines collided with a U.S. Army helicopter on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., killing all 67 people on both planes.
National Transportation Safety Commission officials are still investigating the crash in Washington and the medical jet crash in Philadelphia in January that killed seven people and killed 10 people in Alaska in February.
On the rising issue, Google searches for “safe” have surged.
A recent AP-NORC poll released in February found that 64% of Americans believe air travel is very safe, down from 71% last year.
