Budget conference sets for “Epic” showdown; budget, government WAQF bill focus
Parliament’s budget meeting resumed on Monday, a “epic” showdown between the government and the opposition, with the propaganda plan proposing such as the so-called election Rolls-Royce manipulation, violence against Manipur in Manipur and new events in India’s handling of the Trump administration.
The government’s focus will be to get Parliament’s requirements for grants, to complete the budget process, to seek approval of the Manipur budget and the WAQF Amendment Bill.
Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to propose a statutory resolution to seek parliamentary approval to declare presidential rule in Manipur.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also plans to list Manipur’s budget on Monday. Manipur has been ruled by the president since February 13 after Chief Minister N Biren Singh resigned.
