Octopus and the police conduct a simulated counter-terrorism operation exercise at the Dwaraka Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple

A team of the Action Against Terrorism Organization (OCTOPUS), police and donor department officials conducted a mock operation at Sri Venkateswara Swamyvari Devastanam in Dewarakartumala in Eluru district in response to a terror attack.

Octopus, temple officials and Dewaraka Tirumala police jointly conducted a mock operation on how to respond to a terror attack in Devasthanam.

“The police and temple officials were alerted by the terrorists and they blocked the temple from all entrances. The octopus police rushed to the scene and took up their positions, captured the terrorists and stopped the attack.

Dwaraka Tirumala Circle Inspector T. Sudhir, who participated in the mock exercise, said: “During the mock operation, our priority was the safety of devotees and the protection of this historic temple.”

“Octopus and the police detained the terrorists who entered the temple and prevented the attack on Monday (October 21, 2024) night,” temple officials said.

Police explained to temple officials and the public how to alert concerned persons and the measures that should be taken to prevent casualties.
