On Monday (24 February 2025), a passionate spokesperson and organizer of Kaliyammal Prakasan’s Naam Tamilar Katchi announced that she would leave the party, but reiterated her commitment to the Tamil nationalist goals.
Ms. Kaliamar said in a statement that she was not sure she was leaving the party for a while due to the trust many people have in her.
“I regret that I have to make such a decision. I will continue to plant the seeds of Tamil nationalism and my journey will continue,” she said.
