Nothing starts rolling out Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0 update in India Photo Credit: Special Arrangement
Nothing on Thursday (December 19, 2024) announced the launch of Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0 (NOS 3.0) for its smartphone portfolio in India. NOS 3.0 will be rolled out to Phone 2 and Phone 2a in phases at the end of this year. It will further appear in Nothing Phone 1, Phone 2a Plus and CMF Phone 1 in early 2025.
“Nothing’s NOS 3.0 introduces new features and enhancements that enhance the user experience while paving the way for more customizable and shareable interactions,” said the London-based consumer technology startup.
NOS 3.0 is said to introduce a new native Photo Library app with advanced search capabilities and expanded editing tools such as filters, tags, and suggestions.

The new update also brings shared gadgets displayed on the newly designed, fully customizable lock screen. There will be a new countdown widget to keep users on track, while a new AI-powered Smart Drawer allows users to automatically sort their apps into folders.
NOS 3.0 will offer additional updates and enhancements, including enhanced pop-up views, improved Quick Settings, visual and performance enhancements, and updated typography.
