NEP ROW: In the impasse for implementing the three-language option, Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan advocated National Education Policy (NEP) in 2020, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Chief MK Stalin condemned the comments of BJP leaders in Lok Sabha with powerful words. Tamil Nadu CM, known as Dharmendra Pradhan, is the “arrogant king” and “need to be disciplined”.

In a strongly worded post in Tamil, MK Stalin summoned the Union Minister’s “arrogance” and said he was talking like “arrogance king” and those who “do not respect the people of Tamil Nadu need training”.
Stalin said: “Union Minister Dharmendhra Pradhan believes that he is the king and speaks arrogantly and should control his tongue.”
What did Dharmendra Pradhan say in Lok Sabha?
In remarks during the inquiry period, BJP leader and trade union minister Dharmendra Pradhan claimed that the Tamil Nadu government, led by the DMK, initially agreed to implement the PM School (PM SHRI) program in the state, but later fulfilled their promises.
“They (DMK) are dishonest. They are not committed to students in Tamil Nadu. They are undermining the future of students in Tamil Nadu. Their only job is to improve language barriers. They are doing politics. They are doing pranks. They are undemocratic and unidentified,” Pradhan said.
The DMK protested against the union minister’s remarks, leading to a lawsuit by Lok Sabha.
CM MK Stalin said in his post on X that the center is the person who does not fund Tamil Nadu and deceives the funds of Tamil Nadu MPs.
How does DMK react?
DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran said in an interview with ANI: “Dharmendra Pradhan lied that the DMK government had agreed to (signed the NEP). DMK never agreed to the NEP or the trilingual policy, we only said we can’t. Why our students in Tamil Nadu have to learn three languages, while students from North India only learned one language.”
Dayanidhi Maran clarified the DMK leaders’ positions and added: “If there are some students who want to learn Hindi, we don’t object to Hindi, they are free to do so, but it should not be mandatory.”
DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi said: “The DMK MP raises the question that the coalition government has not released funds for Tamil Nadu and unless the state government agrees to sign the NEP to sign the NEP, the three-language policy has exceeded the funds exceeding the funds exceeding the funds. ₹These schools will not release $2 billion.
