Mufasa: The Lion King – Important Money Lessons to Help You Rebalance Your Portfolio

Rave News

Disney knows how to sell stuffed animals to kids and touch the hearts of adults with stories of love and loss. But this time, no matter what disaster befalls these adorable button cubs, they try to escape ghost lions and a perennially angry nature… What We Learned From Mufasa and Taka’s Adventures in Wild Savannah Money lesson

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Dear Disney, no matter how dizzying and heartbreaking suspense you create in the name of adventure (literally!), you should know that people will compare it to the sheer joy of the original animated film. Imagine how scared kids would be if they saw a roaring lion proving his “alpha” status in National Geographic style instead of animation. Add to that the harrowing consequences of a little cub’s adventurous nature in the original anime, dealt with by crying in the grass… and here, the feeling of exile is even more terrifying. This is not something you want to explain to kids… I wish someone would stop the top executives from being dazzled by high technology and focus on one real direction: stories that make kids laugh and adults cry… Why try Fix what isn’t broken?

As an investor, it is recommended that you keep a close eye on your portfolio so that you don’t miss the opportunity to shed distressed assets or slow-growing investments in favor of new, better products. But if your portfolio is working well and you don’t have any reason to cause upheaval in your portfolio, then count your blessings and don’t chase shiny stocks just because everyone else is doing it.

Be wary of friends turning into enemies

As we all know, Mufasa is the hero of the story, but when you watch the movie, we see how his best friend Taka turns into his number one enemy. Alas, that’s how the story goes: the hero always gets the girl. So it’s only natural that Taka can’t tell Kiara that he’s fallen in love with her. Queen Ashe also urged Mufasa to spend time with all the lionesses… You must still remember Scar’s viciousness towards Mufasa in the original book, right? Well, the seeds of hatred are sown right here…and for some reason I think it’s also justified…

As an investor, you are better off not investing for your friends. You can introduce them to your money manager, but other than that, you’d better admit tactfully that anything else might get in the way of your friendship…right?

I hope Disney releases this movie on Netflix. What a blissful break from a vanilla Christmas dinner. We could totally fast forward to the terrifying reality of Pemba!
