Ricky Kej joins critics: India’s Oscar bid ‘wrong choice’
Grammy Award-winning composer Ricky Kej also weighed in on the issue and called out Ms. Lapata Representing India at the Oscars was a “wrong choice”. Kej expressed his views on !
He added: “Unfortunately, we live in a ‘mainstream Bollywood’ bubble where we can’t look beyond the films we think are interesting. Instead, we should only look for those made by filmmakers who are artistically uncompromising Good movies…low budget or big budget…stars or no stars…just great art films.
Ms. Rapata withdraws from competition: India’s selection process under scrutiny
