Manda Krishna Madiga, founding president of Porata Samithi (MRPS), Madiga reservation, slammed the state government for trying to fill the work without completing the SC subclassification process. He questioned the fairness of the move, asking how to fill the work without subcategorizing SCs, which would cause huge losses to the Madiga community. He asked the state government to withhold the filling process until the SC subclassification is completed.

Krishna Madiga claimed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was working under pressure from the Mala community to fill the work and benefit from Malas before the classification occurs.

Krishna Madiga claims that the government’s actions are unfair to the intended caste (SC) communities, especially those that suffer severely from unemployment. The MRP leaders noted that the Chief Minister had promised to fill the work under subcategories, but now announced results for various recruitment exams including Group 1 and Group 2 without completing the process.

He asked the government to stop the recruitment process until the Taxonomy Act was passed. He also said Shameem Akhtar, the chairman of the single-person committee that was appointed to study the SC subclassification issue, has not met with Madiga Mlas to seek comments on the issue. He claimed there were many errors in Akhtar’s report, which would harm the interests of the Madiga community.

The MRP calls for indefinite protests and Deekshyas in all regions and Mandal Centres until the taxonomy is passed. Krishna Madiga urged all associations that support the classification, including political parties, to participate in the protests. He also asked Revanth Reddy to resign because he could not protect Maras’s interests.
