MG Blackstorm Edition launches: MG launches Blackstorm Edition in India. The special edition is based on a high-end exclusive version and costs Rs 7.8 lakh and the additional battery rental is Rs 2.5 lakh per kilometre. Prices without a Battery Service (BAAS) option have not been announced yet. Now, bookings are open nationwide for Rs 11,000. The Blackstorm Edition has a more sporty look with a red accent.
The main features of its regular counterparts include starry night colors, red decor on bumpers, fog lights and skateboards, “Black Dormitory” badges on fenders, all black wheel covers, red star pattern on wheels, new black interiors with contrast red sewing and “Black Signs” and “Black Stopper” badges.
The black paint scheme of this version is called “Starry Night”, with red highlights on the fog lights, front bumper and skateboard. The MG logo sits on the hood, while the Black Storm badge sits on the fender. The black wheel cover has a red star design that adds sporty appeal.
The dashboard remains the same with the standard model with white and grey themes. However, the seats are now in black interiors with red stitching and a “black dorm” badge on the headrest. No other changes were made to it internally.
Similar to the standard model, it features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch driver display, a 4-speaker sound system, manual AC, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, multiple airbags, a rear parking camera with sensors, Hill Hold Hold, Hill Hold, Assist Assist, Weight Pressure Monitoring System, and more.
Like the standard Comet EV, this version uses a 17.3kWh battery pack and paired with the engine to produce 42bhp and 110nm of torque. It can fully charge a MIDC range of 230 km.
