MAMATA BANERJEE to Election Commission – “Khela Abar Hobe”: Mamata Banerjee’s “26 Days Dharna” warns polling agencies

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee once again invoked her popular slogan “Khela Hobe”, claiming that the political struggle in the state in 2026 will be even more intense. She asserted: “Khela AbarHobe. 2026 Khela will be more aggressive.”

Mamata aimed at the Election Commission, warning that if needed, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) would not hesitate to protest in front of its office.

“If I could sit on the dharna for 26 days, I could sit on a dharna in front of the Election Commission so that the spine could return.” She also dug a bit into the BJP and said, “We are not Maharashtra.”

The TMC head also addressed her party’s growing concerns about I-PAC, a political consulting firm that had been linked to strategist Prashant Kishor.

She clarified that Kishor no longer contacted I-PAC and turned to another political enterprise. “This is not PK’s I-PAC. He has a new party now. You all have to work with I-Pac and work with it. They are a new team,” Mamata told the party workers.

She also defended the role of consulting firms in the party’s electoral strategy, stressing that having a TMC in place should not be a problem, despite the BJP having multiple agencies working for them. “The BJP has 50 agents. We can also have one,” she said.

Mamata further accused the BJP of tampering with West Bengal’s voter list by adding outsiders’ names. She claimed a group called the Smart People Association is deploying to manipulate data.

She claimed: “The BJP has sent a company that is contacting data operators. They are inserting Haryana and Rajasthanian names into the voter list in Bangladesh. This is done online.”

The TMC supremacy also accuses the BJP of trying to eliminate Bangladesh’s cultural identity. “The BJP does not want Bangladesh to have its culture. That’s how they beat Maharashtra and Delhi, but we’ve grabbed their tricks,” she said.
