Locals said there was a clash in the Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district in Mhow town on Sunday (10 March 2025) following a rally celebrating the final victory of the ICC championship trophy for the Indian cricket team.
Mhow is located about 25 kilometers from the Indore regional headquarters.
When asked, Indore collector Ashish Singh said the situation was under control and the troops had been deployed in the area.

“How will be determined later. So far, the situation is under control.”
A police officer said there was a dispute between the two parties during the celebration rally.
Officials added that the dispute resulted in stone burrs and arson.

A group of young cricket enthusiasts organized a rally to celebrate India’s final victory over New Zealand.
But as they approached the Jama Masjid area, a large group of people allegedly began to throw stones at them, causing chaos and forcing them to abandon their motorcycles and run away.
They said that after the consequences, some people caught fire from many abandoned motorcycles, further escalating tensions.
Local authorities acted quickly to control the situation.
Police sources said the Iowaian mother of the police chief (rural Indiana) personally assessed the situation and took the necessary measures to restore law and order.
Sources said personnel have been deployed in affected areas to prevent further violence.
Deputy Inspector General Agarwal, police officer, said the troops arrived at the scene after receiving information about the conflict and controlling the situation.
“The police force is already stationed there. There is no information on any casualties,” he added.
