The Delhi court convened Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Tuesday (25 February 2025) to relate to the land obligation “scam”.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne also convened Prasad’s son and former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav and daughter Hanma ·Hema Yadav.
The judge issued a new subpoena to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supreme young son and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav.
The defendant has instructed to appear in court on March 11.
The case is related to the appointment of Group D in the western region of Indian Railways, where he served as United Railway Minister during his tenure in Prasad between 2004 and 2009 in exchange for grants or transfers from recruits. Officials say RJD is supreme family or colleague.
The case was registered on May 18, 2022 against Prasad and others, including his wife, two daughters, unidentified public officials and private individuals.
