The Chief Manager (Education) of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) was shown after West Bengal BJP criticized Biswakarma Puja’s school holiday on September 17 and assigned the holiday to Eid Ul Fitr. Hindi Intermediate KMC Primary School (KMCP) School.

Later that day, the notice issued by KMC withdrew Dara’s notice. “(a) Memorandum…About the holiday list of Hindi media KMCP schools, no consent from the KMC competent authority…KMC clarified that the original memorandum…was cancelled without authorized permission from KMC because it has been cancelled . This matter has been taken seriously and necessary actions have been taken against the officers responsible for this error. KMC Education Minister Sandipan Saha told Mediapersons: “Siddhartha Sankar Dhara has been shown. He cannot make any policy decisions. He does not have any jurisdiction to issue such circulars. As far as we know, the moment of the circular was cancelled. It’s a very serious problem, and we’ll take it no matter what discipline we need to take. He did it himself – the question is what is his intention? “
The mayor of Firhad Hakim in Kolkata told Mediapersons: “According to the government calendar, our holidays are decided. I have asked the municipal commissioner to ask the chief manager why such notices were issued. He may be in order to raise community issues. But West Bengal believes in peace and Harmony. Celebrate all religious occasions.”
“It’s okay to let them bring a four-day holiday to Eid al-Fitr. But why should we cancel the holiday of Biswakarma Puja? Why do they (TMC) always attack Hindus?”
