A Kerala court on Friday (November 8, 2024) granted bail to CPI(M) leader PP Divya in the abetment case related to the death of former Kannur Additional District Magistrate (ADM) K. Naveen Babu Suicide case.
Chief District and Sessions Judge Thalassery, KT Nissar Ahammed granted relief to former Kannur District Panchayat president PP Divya.
Ms. Divya, who is in judicial remand, filed a regular bail application after her anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the court on October 29.
Ms Divya allegedly attended the farewell ceremony of Naveen Babu on October 14 without being invited and criticized him for delaying the approval of petrol pumps for several months and said he granted approval two days after the transfer, suggesting she knew the reasons behind the sudden endorsement.
Navin Babu was found dead at his residence in Kannur the next day.
