jammu and kashmir: At least 15 BJP members filed out of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Friday and tried to protest at the well of the house.
Since the establishment of the House of Representatives, they have been protesting against the special status resolution passed by the government on Wednesday, November 6. Ranguet lawmaker Sheikh Kushid was also among the sacked leaders.

The BJP members jumped into the well, grabbed the documents and tore them into pieces, causing the speaker to sort them out. According to the video released by ANI, newly elected Speaker of J&K Assembly Abdul Rahimrath can be heard repeating: “Get them out…” and ordering the BJP leaders to leave quickly . Amid the chaos, the speaker reportedly adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes.
When the House met in the morning, slogans such as “Pakistan agenda nahi chalega” were raised by BJP legislators. After the adjournment, MLAs continued to protest, even after Raheem Rather asked them to take their seats.

After passing the resolution on Wednesday, the Assembly urged the Center to initiate discussions with elected representatives of the region to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and constitutional guarantees and establish necessary constitutional machinery for the purpose.
PTI quoted Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary as saying, “This legislative session has reaffirmed the importance of special status and constitutional guarantees, which uphold the identity, culture and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and expressed concern over the unilateral cancellation of its status.
