Jharkhand Assembly Elections: Ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections, former BJP leaders Dr Lois Marandi, Kunal Sarangi and Ganesh Mahali on Monday joined the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and met CM Hemant Soren and Wife Kalpana Soren.

Dr Lois Marandi, a former BJP vice-president in the state, joined Hemant Soren’s party after she was denied votes in her home constituency of Dumka and asked to contest the Balai elections.

“I gave 24 years to Dumka, so how can I compete with Baht? I don’t know anything about that place, but I don’t know anything about Dumka… So I refused to compete in Baht election. The party did not listen and sent others from Dumka… I need a platform to serve the people… I spoke to CM Hemant Soren and he welcomed …..,” ANI quoted Dr. Lois Marandi as saying.

Expressing disappointment with the saffron party after being denied the Dumka constituency, Dr Lois Marandi said, “I have dedicated a lot of time for the party (BJP) and worked day and night for the people and at best adhere to the party’s policies “Sincerity, but when the election came, the party told me to campaign from Barhait. “
