Kerala Information Commissioner KM Dilip said severe action will be taken against government officials who have always violated the Commission’s orders and directives.
The Commissioner said while sitting in Kottayam on Thursday that it would be recommended to take disciplinary action against the Officers (RTI) Act (RTI) Act (RTI) Act (RTI) Act (RTI) Act (RTI) Act on Thursday.
Decided to delay
Under the RTI Act, the officials concerned should appear before the committee when a decision is made in the second round of appeals filed by citizens. However, the committee pointed out some officials mentioned reasons for frivolous reasons to delay decisions by not attending hearings.
Of the 32 cases reviewed while sitting, 27 were dealt with. The appeals considered by the Commission are related to RTI applications for local autonomy, mining and geology, family, cooperation and health, and Mahatma Gandhi University.
