After some confusion, the ICC finally confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be played in Pakistan, a neutral venue for the India match. The decision was taken following an agreement with the PCB and BCCI that the Men in Green will participate in all matches of ICC events hosted by India at neutral venues.
“This will apply to the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 (hosted by Pakistan) in February and March 2025, as well as the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 (hosted by India) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (hosted by India). Hosted by India and Sri Lanka).
“It has also been announced that PCB has secured the hosting rights for the 2028 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which will also be subject to a neutral venue arrangement,” the ICC mentioned in the press release.
