After struggling to make an impact on South Africa’s first match in Afghanistan due to injured layoffs, the 23-year-old seized the opportunity against England and occupied a tough bowling offense.
Zadran surpassed England’s Ben Duckett, who previously scored 165 points against Australia in the game. He also became the first centurion in the history of the Afghan champion trophy.

Zadran was fired after his outstanding record of 177, breaking Duckett’s record of highest score in game history.
This marked Zadran’s sixth century at Odis, tied him with Mohammad Shahzad, making him Afghan second-highest century score in Odis hand. The only player ahead of him is Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who also has six ODI centuries.
Zadran’s century is the 10th in the 2025 championship trophy, with hundreds of records in this competition. There are seven more games left to stay in the game, and this record may surpass it.
