A Los Angeles woman has filed a lawsuit accusing Grammy-nominated producer Metro Boomin of raping her and getting her pregnant in 2016.

Lawyers for the producers called the accusations false and said the lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, was “pure extortion.”

Vanessa LeMaistre, 38, said in the lawsuit that she became friends with Metro Boomin after her 9-month-old son died. ·Booming’s legal name is Leland Wayne. Months later, when she visited him at the recording studio, she blacked out and woke up in bed to find Wayne raping her, the lawsuit said.

Weeks later, she learned she was pregnant during the attack, the lawsuit states.

Lawyers for the 31-year-old St. Louis-born producer immediately denied the accusations.

“This is purely a shakeup. These are false accusations,” Lawrence Hinkle II said in a statement Wednesday. “Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago and is refusing to pay her now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court. If successful, he will file a malicious prosecution claim.”

Wayne curated the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack and co-produced most of the album’s songs. His 2022 album Heroes & Villains, which featured contributions from John Legend, The Weeknd and Travis Scott, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Album. He has also collaborated with Future, Kendrick Lamar, Offset, 21 Savage and A$AP Rocky.

LeMester said in the lawsuit that she met Wayne at a party in Las Vegas in the spring of 2016 and that they met multiple times over the next few months and that she “believed that music had the power to help people Get through the darkest moments”. time”.

Around September, she visited him at a recording studio in California, where she drank a glass of wine and took half a Xanax.

“The next thing Ms. Lemaistre can remember is waking up in a bed in another location with Wayne raping her, completely unable to move or make a sound,” the lawsuit states. “She was in and out of consciousness for long periods of time. Unknown, but woke up again at some point to find Wayne performing oral sex on her.”

At no time was she able to consent, the lawsuit states.

She learned she was pregnant a few weeks later and there was no doubt the baby was Wayne’s, the lawsuit states. She had an abortion soon after.

The Associated Press typically does not name people who say they were sexually abused unless they come forward publicly, as Lemaistre has. She is named in the lawsuit and has agreed to be publicly identified through her attorney.

Her lawsuit alleging sexual battery and gender-based violence seeks damages to be determined at trial.
