Hero MotoCorp recently launched an updated version of the XPulse 200 4V. It’s called the XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar, and it’s the top-of-the-range version of the off-roader. Although it has no direct competitors in the Indian market. Another off-road vehicle in India is the Yezdi Adventure. Here’s a quick comparison between the two motorcycles.

The Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar and Yezdi Adventure are designed as off-road vehicles, so they do share a basic design. The front has a round headlight, a beak-shaped fender and a windshield to protect the rider from the wind. Additionally, the XPulse comes with knuckle guards. However, the Adventure has more road presence due to its larger physical size.

The XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar is powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

On the other hand, the Yezdi Adventure is powered by a 334 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 19 hp and 29.9 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.

Both motorcycles feature long-travel front suspension and a rear single shock absorber. However, the XPulse uses more sophisticated hardware as it offers a fully adjustable telescopic fork at the front with 250mm of wheel travel, and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 250mm of wheel travel. The Adventure has a seat height of 815 mm and weighs 187 kg, while the XPulse weighs 161 kg and has a seat height of 891 mm.

In terms of features, the Adventure comes with an LCD instrument panel, route planning navigation and a USB charger. Riders can also adjust the angle of the instrument cluster.

The XPulse is equipped with an LCD instrument panel that not only provides basic information but also offers a choice of three ABS modes: on-road, off-road and rally. Additionally, the bike comes with a USB charging port and luggage board for added convenience.

Hero XPluse 200 4V Pro price in Dhaka is $1,67,500 while the Yezdi Adventure costs between $210,000 and $220,000. All prices are ex-showroom.
