Hambi Terror: Third Arrest of Israeli Tourist, Rape of Homestay Family

Karnataka minister Shivaraj Tangadagi said on Sunday that the third defendant had been arrested in the tourism rape case in Koppal area.

Police said Saturday that two women, including 27-year-old Israeli tourists, were allegedly beaten and beaten while gazing near Hampi. The incident occurred on March 6.

Tangadagi said three people were involved in the crime. When the two were arrested on March 8, the third defendant was arrested on Sunday.

“Three people were involved in this horrible crime that would never happen. Two were arrested yesterday and today.

He added that he had directed police to improve the safety of visitors to prevent such incidents.

According to police, the third defendant was arrested in Tamil Nadu and he fled after the crime.

Earlier, Karnataka Home Secretary G Parameshwara said on the evening of March 6 that two foreign nationals, including Israeli citizens, and two other citizens, went out on the banks of the Tungabhadra Canal.

Three young men approached the group and asked for instructions to the gasoline pump. The young man robbed them when tourists expressed their ignorance.

One of the tourists had a verbal argument with strangers and angrily pushed the tourists into the canal. Three tourists managed to escape, and the fourth in Odisha disappeared. He said later, Bibash’s body was recovered.
