The former Congress president later told the media that the BJP MPs did not allow him to enter Parliament. “This may appear on your cameras. I tried to enter through the parliament entrance but the PPP MPs tried to stop me, pushed me and threatened me. So this happened… yes, this has happened ( Mallikarjun Kharge was pushed) but we will not be affected by the push but this is the entrance and we have the right to go in,” Rahul Gandhi said.
The allegation was later denied by the saffron party. “Rahul Gandhi had enough space but he also pushed Sambit Patra. It was unnecessary as he had enough space… Once the CCTV footage is checked, everyone will know what happened, “BJP MP Pralhad Joshi said. Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said BJP MP Mukesh Rajput was also injured in the melee.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Sarangi and Rajput to inquire about their health after they were injured in Parliament House.
